ISLAMABAD:

A modern digital system has been launched in the district courts of Islamabad for the convenience of litigants.

The inauguration of the system was done by the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Aamir Farooq. The digital system was developed by the Islamabad High Court IT department in-charge, Umar Rasheed Dar.

The system will provide the status of each court date online from the filing of cases to their resolution. It will integrate the data of Islamabad High Court, district judiciary, bar associations and NADRA. Moreover, it will allow litigants to receive case information through messages and emails. E-notices can also be sent via WhatsApp and email through the system. Kiosk machines will be installed in district courts to provide case information online.

A unique feature of the system is that it includes a centralised data centre, a centralised data app, and a centralised database for the Islamabad judiciary. A one-window information desk and a certified copy management system will also be launched. The status of lawyers and their licenses will also be available on the online system.
