The police have made no progress in the investigation of armed clash between the rival groups of Bugti tribe in which five people lost their lives while two sustained serious injuries. Statement of injured persons - Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali were recorded but the incident is still a mystery.
The armed clash within the jurisdiction of Darakhshan police station resulted in the deaths of Fahad Bugti, Naseebullah, Mir Mahsam Bugti, Mir Isa Bugti, and Ali, while Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali sustained injuries.
DIG South Asad Raza said that the case has been registered on government's complaint. The police have conducted raids during the past two days and arrested 17 individuals from whom details about the armed clash are being obtained. Police also recovered weapons used in the clash.
Raza further said that the police recorded the statements of the two injured. In his initial statement, Bugti informed the police that he was on his way to meet a close friend when the shooting incident occurred. He does not have any additional information regarding the incident, but the police are not satisfied with his statement. However, the police have also recorded the statements of the detained individuals, which revealed that the armed clash was related to a property dispute, and there was ongoing tension between the Bugti tribes over some flats in Karachi.
