Asad’s grief-stricken post for late father
Television actor Asad Siddiqui — the other half of fellow actor Zara Noor Abbas and nephew of Adnan Siddiqui — took to his Instagram Stories to compose a heart-wrenching post dedicated to his late father, Aftab Ahmad Siddiqui, who had passed away in February at the age of 85.
“Miss you with every breath!” penned the Dil Ruba actor underneath a joyful candid snapshot captured from happier times depicting a beaming father and son. Pouring out his heart in a manner that would resonate with anyone who has lost a parent, Asad added in memory of his beloved father, “Miss the touch, the smile, the daant, the kiss and everything about you Abu!”
Ending his post on a sombre note, the grieving actor wrote, “Life is and never will be the same again. Until we meet again in a much better place InshaAllah. #respectyourparents.”
In February, Asad had shared the news of the death of his father — who was also a dear member of wife Zara’s family — on his Instagram Stories. At the time, the heartbroken actor had described his dear father as a source of unwavering support, wisdom and love throughout his life.
“Last night, I lost my shelter, my power and my strength and everything that I have,” Asad had emotionally captioned at the time. “I lost the most powerful man in our family, the pillar, Abu! It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved father.”
He furthered on, “His departure from this world has left an immense void in our lives, and we are overwhelmed with grief. Abba was our pillar of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. His presence brought light and warmth to our family, and his absence leaves us with profound sorrow.”
