Four terrorists were killed when security forces conducted a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district on Saturday, according to the military's media wing.

As per a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the operation, following an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists of "Fitna Al Khawarij" were "sent to hell".

The deceased militants were found to be heavily involved in various terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces, abductions, and the targeted killings of civilians.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.

A sanitisation operation is underway to ensure the area is clear of any remaining militants, said ISPR.

Earlier this week, the security forces have killed terrorist Ali Jan and injured two others during an IBO conducted in Hoshab District of Balochistan.

Meanwhile on July 26, during an IBO in North Waziristan District on the reported presence of terrorists, after an intense fire exchange, terrorist Khawarji Razzaq was killed during the operation.

He was a close associate of Khawarji Gul Bahadur and was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, including the targeted killing of Malik Sher Muhammad, grandson of Faqir of Ippi on January 6, 2023, as well as the facilitation of a suicide bombing attack in North Waziristan on March 16, which resulted in the martyrdom of seven soldiers.

ISPR stated that a military operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as the armed forces remain determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.
