Vice President Kamala Harris received the endorsement of Barack and Michelle Obama on Friday.

Her campaign posted a video showing Harris holding an iPhone to her ear, although the phone’s display indicated she was on speakerphone with the former first couple.

Harris appeared surprised in the video, which was shot using multiple camera angles, suggesting elaborate preparation.

People on X, formerly Twitter, pointed out evidence that the video was staged, noting Harris was wearing a mic, suggesting it was scripted.

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer agreed, calling the video "scripted" and "forced."

This endorsement completes the support of key party figures for Harris, who former President Donald Trump has previously labelled as “phony.” President Biden ended his re-election campaign on Sunday and endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee for the 5 November election.
