Supporters have rallied behind Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, with Zoom calls breaking attendance records.

Kamala Harris supporters have rallied behind the vice president with record-breaking Zoom calls, with hundreds of thousands of participants joining the events. The trend started on Sunday after President Biden announced he would not seek re-election.

More than 44,000 Black women joined a call to galvanize supporters for Harris's historic run for president, drawing celebrity names and raising an estimated $1.5 million. The trend continued with thousands of Black men, white women, LGBTQ supporters, and South Asian supporters joining subsequent calls.

The white women's call on Thursday night saw over 100,000 participants, causing significant technical glitches that sent many to watch the livestream on YouTube, where over 25,000 joined in addition.

Hollywood was well-represented across the interest groups, with Mindy Kaling joining the South Asian call and George Takei, Zachary Quinto, Raven Simone, Sophia Bush, Ashlyn Harris, Brian Michael Smith, and Justin Tranter attending the LGBTQ call. Katie McGrath, Connie Britton, Pink, and more signed on to the white women's call, with Pink reportedly joining right after leaving the stage of a performance in Sweden.

Another Zoom call, women for Harris, is scheduled for this weekend.
