During the San Diego Comic-Con panel for Disney+'s "Percy Jackson," author Rick Riordan revealed that Daniel Diemer will join the cast as Tyson, Percy's cyclops half-brother, in the upcoming second season. Riordan praised Diemer's "enthusiasm and talent" in a video message, while Diemer expressed his excitement in joining the beloved universe as a longtime fan of the books.

The panel featured the young stars Walker Scobell (Percy), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover), along with co-showrunners Dan Shotz and Jonathan E. Steinberg. They shared behind-the-scenes stories from Season 1 and hinted at new adventures and friendships in Season 2.

"Percy Jackson" debuted on Disney+ in December 2023 and quickly became a hit, bringing Riordan's popular book series to life. The first season followed Percy and his friends on a quest to find Zeus' missing thunderbolt. Season 2 will adapt "Sea of Monsters," introducing new characters and challenges for the young demigods.

With Diemer's casting as Tyson, fans can anticipate an exciting new addition to the "Percy Jackson" world when Season 2 arrives on Disney+.
