Two female English cyclists arrived at the Khanpur Dam after cycling through various parts of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and expressed their admiration for the warm welcome and scenic landscapes.
Jasmin and Hanaya stated they did not feel like outsiders despite being in a foreign land. The women tourists, who are traveling through different cities of Hazara and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, shared their happiness upon reaching Khanpur Dam.
Both cyclists from England praised the hospitality of the people in Hazara and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, emphasising that they felt secure and welcomed throughout their journey.
They noted that they were often stopped and served refreshments at various places, enhancing their sense of safety and belonging in the region. At Khanpur Dam, Jasmin and Hanaya enjoyed the local delicacies, particularly the native potato tamarind and plum syrup, and expressed their joy at seeing the dam for the first time.
They described Pakistan as a beautiful country that attracts tourists from all over the world and conveyed their determination to visit Khanpur Dam again. Following their visit, the cyclists left for Islamabad, with Lahore as their next planned destination.
