LAHORE:

The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has written an open letter to the Lahore High Court chief justice seeking court attention in the alarming situation of dengue fever in Punjab. The letter requests the court to summon Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in court.

APML spokesman Fawad Chaudhry claimed in the letter that Punjab government had been misleading the people on the count of dengue victims in the province. He alleged that patients were not being admitted to public hospitals to keep the count low. He said this had led to several deaths.

The APML appealed to the chief justice to take suo moto notice of the situation.
