Renowned writer and playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar's honey trap case took a significant turn as the main suspect, Amna Urooj, was presented in court.

The investigative officer requested the court for Amna's physical remand, citing the need to interrogate her about her involvement in the abduction of Qamar.

Previously, 12 suspects were arrested in connection with the case, including Amna Urooj, Mamnoon Haider, Zeeshan Qayyum, Javed Iqbal, Tanveer Ahmed, Falak Sher, Qaiser Abbas, Rashid Ahmed, Mian Khan, Babar Ali, Shumail Bibi, and Maryam Shehzadi.

Khalil alleged that Amna lured him to her house under the pretext of discussing a potential drama project. Once he arrived, armed men kidnapped him and was released after paying a substantial ransom.

The Sundar Police registered a case based on Khalil-ur-Rehman's statement, which detailed how the abductors tortured him, moved him to different locations, and threatened his life while demanding money from his relatives.

According to the FIR, the suspects robbed Khalil-ur-Rehman of his mobile phone, watch, cash, and transferred Rs250,000 from his ATM card. The playwright added that the kidnappers blindfolded him and left him in a deserted area before fleeing.
