Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash announced the tragic passing of his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, aged 25, on Friday. The musician, 58, has cancelled four dates of his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T Tour to grieve the loss. Slash shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, stating, "Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024."
He described Lucy-Bleu as "an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul." The family has requested privacy and minimal social media speculation as they process the loss. The cause of her death remains unknown.
Lucy-Bleu's mother, Meegan Hodges, shared the same statement on her Instagram, adding, "I love you." Lucy-Bleu had 35,000 Instagram followers and reportedly worked at Electric Lady Management, the talent arm of the recording studio. Hours before the announcement, Slash cancelled tour dates due to "unforeseen circumstances," stating, "The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will resume in Toronto on July 28, 2024 at Budweiser Stage. We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."
Condolences poured in from Slash's celebrity friends, including Dave Grohl's daughter Violet and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. Susan, the wife of Slash's Guns N' Roses bandmate Duff McKagan, commented, "Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences. Love you all so much."
