Megan Thee Stallion's latest track "Mamushi," featuring Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, also known as Kohh, has become an internet sensation. The song, which includes Japanese lyrics and Megan singing in Japanese, has captured the attention of fans worldwide. "Mamushi" is the third snake-themed track by Megan, following "Cobra" and "Boa." In Japanese, "Mamushi" refers to a small venomous pit viper.

The lyrics of "Mamushi" feature the chorus “Okane kasegu, watashi wa star,” meaning “Earn money, I’m a star,” reflecting the artists' fame and fortune. The song's catchy vibes and addictive hook have made it a viral hit on social media platforms, especially TikTok. A dance choreography by TikTok user @mona712_official has gone viral, with over 157,000 videos using the song as of July 9.

The collaboration between Megan and Chiba reportedly originated from their meeting earlier this year during Megan's trip to Japan to present at the Anime Awards. Chiba, famous for his song “Team Tomodachi,” has also gained significant attention for his participation in "Mamushi."

Megan Thee Stallion’s affinity for Japanese culture, particularly anime and manga, is well-known among her fans. She has cosplayed as characters such as Gojo from "Jujutsu Kaisen" and Jolene from "Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure." Her previous track "Boa" features her dressed as a character inspired by Boa Hancock from "One Piece."
