In a surprising twist on social media, rapper J. Cole became a hot topic following President Joe Biden’s announcement to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris.

Fans quickly drew parallels between Biden's decision and J. Cole's past retreat from a high-profile rap feud with Kendrick Lamar.

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, amidst political upheaval, Biden decided not to seek reelection, stating it was in the best interest of his party and the country to step down and endorse Harris for the presidency.

His decision, aimed at uniting the Democratic Party to defeat Donald Trump, resonated with a similar moment in 2024 when J. Cole stepped back from the rap scene after his diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar.

Cole later labeled the track "the lamest" and "goofiest" thing he had done, which he ultimately pulled from his mixtape.

The confluence of these events sparked a flurry of online activity, where fans used the opportunity to make light-hearted comparisons and jokes, linking Biden’s political maneuver to Cole's withdrawal from the music beef.

Memes and comments flooded platforms like X, formerly Twitter, with remarks such as "Joe Biden dropping out the race reminded me when J. Cole dropped out the beef after releasing his diss track" and humorous suggestions like "J. Cole for Democrat nomination 2024."
