Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up about the enduring labels of 'casanova' and 'cheater' that have shadowed him throughout his career.

In a revealing conversation during a YouTube podcast, Ranbir discussed his past relationships, his relationship with his late father Rishi Kapoor, and his experiences with therapy.

In the podcast teaser released on July 20, Ranbir Kapoor candidly addressed his high-profile romances with actresses Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.

He reflected on how these relationships contributed to his public image. "I dated two very successful actresses, and that just became my identity—that I’m a casanova. I was labelled a cheater for a very large part of my life, and I still am," Ranbir admitted.

His comments come as a response to years of public scrutiny following his breakups with Padukone and Kaif, with both relationships ending amid significant media attention.

Ranbir also shared intimate details about his life as a father and his relationship with his late father. Speaking about his daughter Raha, he said, "It’s like someone has taken your heart out and put it in your hands. Raha considers Alia as a part of her, and she looks for the masti and fun with me." This description highlights the joy and emotional depth he experiences in his role as a parent with his wife, Alia Bhatt.

Regarding his father, Ranbir described Rishi Kapoor as a strict yet caring figure. "My father was a short-tempered man, but a very good man. I never saw the colour of his eyes. I was always like this (bends down with his head low). I never said 'no'," he said, illustrating the complexity of their relationship.

Ranbir also touched upon his struggles with therapy and his difficulty with self-expression. "I’ve tried therapy. It’s not that I’m against it, it’s just that I have to open myself up. And I’m very scared of opening myself up," he revealed. This admission underscores his ongoing struggle to manage his emotions and personal issues.

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor continues to make headlines. Following the success of his film Animal, he is set to star in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project Ramayana, where he will play the role of Ram, alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita. The film is scheduled for release in 2027. Additionally, Kapoor is working on Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which will also feature Alia Bhatt.
