TMZ reports that sources close to the matter reveal Bella Hadid has hired lawyers to take legal action against Adidas. She claims the company has not publicly addressed their role in what she views as a harmful and damaging campaign.
According to the sources, Bella Hadid is distressed that the company launched a campaign linking anyone to the Munich Massacre of the 1972 Olympics, as it contradicts her own values and views on violence.
The publication also claims that Bella Hadid remains under contract with Adidas, despite previous reports suggesting that the company had terminated her.
Adidas chose Bella Hadid to promote a retro sneaker inspired by the 1972 Munich Olympics, during which 11 Israeli athletes were held hostage and killed.
Adidas issued an apology, stating they had no intention of making a statement linked to historical tragedies. They also announced earlier today that they are revising their campaign.
It seems Bella is telling those close to her that she wasn't fully aware of the implications when she signed on, and she’s holding Adidas accountable for it.
