‘Inkigayo’ to take three-week pause for SBS’ ‘Paris Olympics coverage’

The music show will take a break due to the 2024 SBS Paris Olympics and Gayo Daejeon Summer coverage.

SBS's popular music show "Inkigayo" will be on hiatus for three weeks. 

The show will not air on July 21, July 28, or August 4, as reported by SBS. The break begins with the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer, set to take place at the INSPIRE Arena in Incheon on July 21. 

The network announced, “Due to coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and more, ‘Inkigayo’ will not air on July 21, July 28, or August 4.

“We ask for viewers’ generous understanding.” The show is expected to resume its regular schedule following this period.

The SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer is a new event designed to highlight the first half of 2024, featuring performances from a range of prominent artists. T

he event will be hosted by former "Inkigayo" MCs NCT’s Doyoung, IVE’s An Yu Jin, and TXT’s Yeonjun. An Yu Jin and Yeonjun, who previously co-hosted the 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon, will be returning to the role.
