New details emerge on building used in Donald Trump assassination attempt

Laura Loomer, an investigative journalist, has revealed new details regarding the building from which Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump. The building, owned by AGR International, was sold in March to a subsidiary of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) called Indicor.

Loomer revealed on X, formerly Twitter, that Joseph L. Rice III, the founder of CD&R, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Brookings Institution, both of which have been involved in legal actions against Trump to prevent his 2024 presidential run.

Indicor was formed in January 2023 by CD&R, with Jon Selib joining as a partner. Before CD&R, Selib was Senior Vice President of Global Policy and Public Affairs at Pfizer and a major donor to Joe Biden’s campaign.

Doug Wright, CEO of Indicor and a former Raytheon Technologies employee, confirmed that law enforcement was present at the building before the shooting due to its high-security risk. Wright stated the office was closed on the day of the attempted assassination.

Loomer, who hosts 'Loomer Unleashed' on Rumble, also highlighted the involvement of significant figures in CD&R. Roberto Quarta, Chairman of CD&R, and John Stroup, Indicor Chairman, have been linked to notable positions and recent resignations. On 18 March 2024, the building’s registered office was changed to Corporation Service Company, a foreign business corporation in Delaware.

Jon Selib, a former chief of staff to Senator Max Baucus, joined CD&R in 2022 and became a partner in December 2023. Baucus, who served as the US ambassador to China under President Obama, has made controversial remarks about Trump and currently runs a consulting firm in Montana.

On 13 July 2024, Trump was shot and wounded at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks, who fired eight rounds from an AR-15-style rifle, was killed by the Secret Service's counter-sniper team. The incident is being investigated as an attempted assassination and potential act of domestic terrorism.
