Brazilian rocker Ayres Sasaki, 35, tragically died during a live performance on July 13 in Salinopolis, Brazil.

The singer was electrocuted when a fan, who was soaking wet, hugged him on stage, causing an electric shock from a nearby cable. Sasaki died almost instantly.

The circumstances of how the fan got wet remain unclear. Authorities are investigating the incident, but no further details have been released. Sasaki's family is withholding detailed comments until the investigation concludes. His aunt, Rita Matos, told local media, "We are contacting people who were with him at the moment to understand how everything happened. We will gather all the information in a statement that we will release to the press."

The Solar Hotel, where the concert took place, expressed deep sorrow over Sasaki's death and is cooperating with the investigation. In a statement, the hotel said, "We are fully dedicated to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures. We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperating with the competent authorities for the proper clarification of the events."

Offstage, Sasaki was an architect and urban planner. He is survived by his wife, Mariana, to whom he had been married for just 11 months. Friends and colleagues remembered him as a talented and passionate performer. Adriano Freitas, a fellow musician and friend, described Sasaki as "a super charismatic guy" and the "king of encores," noting his remarkable ability to perform for extended periods.
