Kendrick Lamar's supporters might believe he ended Drake's reign in their ongoing lyrical feud, but according to rumors, a new challenger to the diss track supremacy has emerged: Big Sean.

Having a successful week with his first Hot 100 top 40 hit since 2018 courtesy of Eminem's 'Tobey,' Big Sean found himself trending on social media on Tuesday (July 16) after delivering an intense freestyle on the widely followed 'On the Radar' series.

Flowing over the instrumental of Aaliyah's classic track "If Your Girl Only Knew" from 1996, Big Sean (real name Sean Anderson), a rapper from Detroit, not only paid tribute to his fellow hometown artist but also delivered a set of lyrics that many interpreted as indirect criticisms aimed at Kendrick Lamar.

Although Anderson has consistently stated there are no hard feelings with Kendrick over the years, the verse, coupled with ongoing speculation of underlying tensions between them, sparked intense speculation and propelled Sean's name to trend across Twitter and other platforms.

The buzz coincides with Lamar reclaiming the top spot on the Hot 100 with his Drake diss track "Not Like Us.
