PESHAWAR/LAHORE:

PPP Central Punjab general secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza has strongly rejected the government’s decision to impose a ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asserting that curtailing any political party's freedom was a slippery slope.

He warned that such decisions undermine democracy and pointed out the potential Pandora's box such rulings have historically unleashed in political spheres.

He said that before jumping the gun, PML-N should have consulted its allies, asserting that PPP was committed to freedom of thought and expression.
