Imam Hussain's sacrifice teaches vital lessons: Information minister

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar emphasised the significance of Imam Hussain’s sacrifice, stating that great sacrifices are essential for great causes.

Speaking during his visit to an Imambargah to review security arrangements in Islamabad on tuesday, he highlighted that the incident of Karbala teaches that no tyrant should be allowed to distort the truth.

Tarar noted that the courage, patience, and prudence of Imam Hussain’s companions serve as a beacon of light. He stressed that the battle between truth and falsehood continues today, and the spirit of self-sacrifice is more necessary than ever.

The minister inspected the route of the procession and reviewed security measures during the Majalis. He met with organisers and mourners, receiving a briefing from Syed Khurram Abbas Naqvi, the administrator of Imambargah Kashan Abbas, about the security arrangements.

Tarar expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and commended the administration for maintaining contact with all schools of thought to ensure peace during Muharram.

He assured that police and administration are on high alert, with fool-proof measures in place for the safety of participants in Majalis and processions.
