QUETTA:

The Balochistan High Court on Monday exonerated Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the head of the major opposition alliance ‘Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayin-e-Pakistan (TTAP)’, and the chief of the Pashtunkhawa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), in a land grabbing case.

In its ruling, a BHC division bench, comprising Justice Ejaz Swati and Justice Amir Nawaz Rana, dismissed the charges against Achakzai levelled in the first information report (FIR) of the case.

Earlier this year, the Quetta police and the district administration conducted a raid at Achakzai’s residence, accusing him of meddling in government affairs and land grabbing.
