Rapper Wiz Khalifa, real name Cameron Thomaz, has spoken out following his recent arrest for illegal drug possession in Romania.

The incident occurred during his performance at the "Beach, Please!" festival in Costinesti, where Romanian authorities allege he smoked cannabis on stage.

According to DIICOT, an anti-organized crime prosecutors organization, Khalifa was found in possession of cannabis during the early hours of Sunday morning. The organization stated that he had over 18 grams of cannabis, considered a "risk drug" in Romania.

In response, Khalifa took to X late Sunday night to address the situation, expressing regret over any offense caused.

"Last night's show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without the big ass joint next time."

Per DIICOT's press release, Khalifa faces criminal proceedings for unlawful drug possession, a charge punishable by up to ten years in prison in Romania. Despite being taken in for questioning, Khalifa was released shortly after.

This incident echoes Khalifa's past encounters with the law, including a 2010 arrest in North Carolina for drug charges after a concert. Khalifa, known for hits like "See You Again," shares custody of his son Sebastian with ex-wife Amber Rose.
