The Vehari police have established the Rida Force, the first squad of its kind to provide women with a sense of security on the roads.

Educated women police personnel included in the squad have been given training with modern weapons and motorbikes to deal with any situation. These views were expressed by District Police Officer Mansoor Aman while speaking at a ceremony of distribution of new motorcycles among the women personnel of the Rida Force in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Vehari.

The DPO stated that measures are ongoing to make women strong and confident while providing them a sense of security. The purpose of establishing th3 force is to provide a sense of security to women so that they feel empowered, he added.

He said the establishment of the force will motivate school, college and working girls. He said the Rida Force can stop, check, search and arrest any suspicious person.

This force, comprising female personnel, will be visible in the markets, in front of schools and colleges.

The Vehari Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Mian Khalid Hussain, founding president Hafiz Mahmood Ahmed Shad and other leaders were present on the occasion.
