Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, made a rare public appearance at Wimbledon for the men's singles final, marking her second outing since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. As the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Kate arrived at the SW19 venue with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister, Pippa Middleton, less than an hour before the final match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz was set to begin.

Kate, who has been undergoing chemotherapy, previously appeared at the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London last month, her first public engagement since her diagnosis. On Sunday, she will present the trophy to the winner of the men’s final.

Meanwhile, Prince William, the president of the Football Association, will be in Berlin to attend England’s Euro 2024 final against Spain later the same day.

On Saturday, celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Zendaya, and Hugh Jackman were seen at Wimbledon’s Centre Court, where Czech player Barbora Krejcikova defeated Italian Jasmine Paolini with a score of 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to win the women’s singles championship. Kate did not attend the women’s final; Wimbledon chairwoman Debbie Jevans presented the trophy to Krejcikova on her behalf.

Earlier in the tournament, Kate paid tribute to double champion Sir Andy Murray after he missed out on a final match at Wimbledon. In a personally signed message on social media, she wrote, “An incredible #Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud @andy_murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C.” Sir Andy was set to play mixed doubles with Emma Raducanu, but Raducanu withdrew due to wrist stiffness.

Last year, Kate attended the championships multiple times, presenting Carlos Alcaraz with his first Wimbledon trophy after his victory over Novak Djokovic in the men's singles final. She missed a charity polo match on Friday, where Prince William participated to raise funds at Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park.

In a statement released last month, Kate expressed optimism about her treatment progress but noted that she was “not out of the woods yet” and experienced both good and bad days.
