
Pakistan on Friday urged Afghanistan to pursue long-term solutions for its citizens residing in Pakistan, focusing on their return and integration.
This was conveyed by Minister for States & Frontier Regions (SAFRON), Engr Amir Muqam to Afghanistan’s Charge d’Affaires Sardar Ahmed Khan Shakeeb who called on the minister.
The minister emphasised Pakistan’s enduring friendship and cooperative spirit with Afghanistan, particularly in addressing the concerns of Afghan refugees.
In the days after the NATO-backed government collapsed in August 2021, more than 120,000 people, mostly Afghans.
