Federal board announces matric exam results

Pass percentage for grade 9, 10 students remains 61.78% and 92.29% respectively

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, announced the results of the 2024 Class IX and X annual examinations. The pass percentage for Class 9 students is 61.78%, while for Class 10 students, it is 92.29%.

In the Science Group of matriculation, Zubeida Naseeb from Army Public School, EME College Campus Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi, secured the first position with 1,087 marks. Hijab Fatima from Global School System, 115 Range Road Sabzazar, Rawalpindi Cantt, secured the second position with 1,085 marks. Mussadeq Shehbaz from Army Public School, Golra Camp, Rawalpindi Cantt, and Fatima Wajid from Fauji Foundation Public School, Morgah Campus, Safa Town, Rawalpindi, both obtained 1,084 marks, securing the third position.

Similarly, in the Humanity Group, Aqsi Farooq from Feature Foundation School, Misrial Road, Rawalpindi, secured the first position with 1,032 marks, Onaiza Jalil from DHA Senior School for Women, DHA Lahore, secured the second position with 1,025 marks and Muhammad Anas from Institute of Islamic Science Satra Meel, Islamabad, secured the third position with 1,014 marks.

Federal Education Board Chairman, Syed Junaid Akhlaq, briefed the federal education secretary about the examination system and congratulated the children who secured top positions.

As a chief guest, Federal Secretary of Education Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani expressed his pleasure in carrying out his opportunity as education secretary. “It is our success that our talented children have their place in the world today. We are striving to improve the quality of education in government schools. I congratulate the successful students.”

Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani, Federal Board Chairman Syed Junaid Akhlaq, and Secretary Federal Board Dr Bashir Khan distributed prizes among the position holders.
