The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Sahibzada Farhan as the captain of Pakistan Shaheens for the upcoming tour of Australia.

Farhan, who boasts extensive experience in domestic cricket, will lead the team in two four-day matches against Bangladesh A.

The tour commences on July 13 and concludes with participation in the Northern Territory's T20 Series, featuring Pakistan Shaheens and prominent teams from the Big Bash League.

Haneen Shah has been ruled out of the series due to an injury. Qasim Akram has been selected to replace him in the squad.

The Pakistan Shaheens are scheduled to depart for Australia via Dubai on Saturday. This tour aims to provide valuable match experience for emerging players against a competitive Bangladesh A side.

Bangladesh's Mahmudul Hasan, the test opener, will captain the four-day squad, supported by middle-order batsman Shahadat Hossain, with another Test opener, Shadman Islam, also included in the squad for the longer-format games.

Following these fixtures, the HP Unit will shift focus to a 50-over tri-series involving Pakistan Shaheens and the Northern Territory of Australia.

Starting their campaign against Northern Territory on August 1, they will wrap up their matches against Shaheens on August 6.
