Police register FIR, send medical samples for DNA testing

A man identified as Afraz Satti has been booked for allegedly raping a woman under the pretext of providing her with a better job.

According to the complaint filed by the victim at New Town police station, Satti had promised her a job and asked her to meet him at 11pm on July 8.

When the woman arrived at the designated location, she entered Afraz's car and found three men inside, including Afraz and Imran, who were armed.

They threatened to shoot her if she made any noise. The men then drove her to various locations, including Ghori Garden and Sadaat Town, before taking her to an empty house. There, they tied her up and subjected her to sexual assault at gunpoint.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter and are actively searching for the accused. A case has been registered under FIR number 1898/24, under sections related to sexual assault and harassment, based on the victim's complaint. The police have also sent medical samples of the affected woman to the Lahore Forensic Laboratory for DNA testing. Despite conducting raids at the homes of the accused, they have not yet been apprehended.

The investigation officer stated that efforts are underway to arrest the suspects as soon as possible. The affected woman has been provided with security, and the police are working to gather more evidence against the accused.

Meanwhile, senior police officials said the authorities are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and are taking all necessary measures to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
