Donald Trump expressed his disdain for George Clooney's politics and films, while surprisingly praising the actor's television work.
On Wednesday night, Trump took to Truth Social to criticise Clooney for his New York Times op-ed, in which Clooney suggested that Joe Biden should drop out of the 2024 presidential race due to concerns about his mental acuity and ability to defeat Trump.
Trump, the prospective Republican nominee, responded by calling Clooney a "fake movie actor" who has never made a great film. He accused Clooney of turning against Biden and using Democratic talking points. Trump wrote, "He's turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are."
The former president continued his political rant, eventually asserting that Biden had not saved democracy but rather weakened it. Trump concluded by advising Clooney to leave politics and return to television, stating, "Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!!!"
