Matthew McConaughey stays positive after bee sting: 'Bee Swell'

Matthew McConaughey maintains his humor and shares a sweet message for his son Levi's 16th birthday.

Matthew McConaughey isn't letting a bee sting dampen his spirits. The actor shared a selfie showcasing his swollen eye with the caption "Bee swell" and offered a heartfelt message to his son, Levi, on his 16th birthday.

The actor also celebrated his son Levi's 16th birthday with a touching audio message, sharing his hopes and advice for his son as he embarks on adulthood.
 

“Alright, Levi. Coming on that age, buddy. About to be out on your own,” McConaughey said via Instagram on Sunday, July 7. “Me and your mom hope we’ve done as good of a job as we can. You’re not gonna really have us as a safety net out there in the wonderful, wild world.”

“Be aware of your surroundings. Be yourself. Know when to say yes, know when to say no. Know when to say maybe,” McConaughey continued. “See the good in everybody else but know that not everyone else is always paying attention.”

McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, have been open about the joys and challenges of raising their three children. Recently, Levi starred alongside his dad in a series of Lincoln car ads.
