PM clarifies no decision taken on wheat export

Shehbaz Sharif responds to concerns raised by opposition in Parliament

ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif clarified on Wednesday that no decision regarding the export of wheat has been made.

Addressing the floor of the House, he responded to concerns raised by the opposition benches, assuring that the government has not taken any steps towards wheat export.

PM Shehbaz recalled that during the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, both sugar and wheat were first exported and then imported, a practice he suggested was not being followed by the current administration.

In a related development, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar highlighted the government's commitment to providing the best health facilities.

He pointed out the acute shortage of nursing staff in the federal capital and informed that evening classes have been initiated at various nursing schools to address this issue.
