#TrumpPedoFiles trends online while mainstream media remains silent

#TrumpPedoFiles trends on X detailing allegations against Donald Trump from the recently released Epstein documents.

Donald Trump is at the centre of a social media storm as details from recently released Florida court documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case are trending on X, formerly Twitter, under the hashtag #TrumpPedoFiles.

On Tuesday, House Democrats met to discuss President Joe Biden's candidacy, but Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) shifted attention to this pressing issue that mainstream media has largely ignored.

"We hear a lot from our constituents on different issues," Lieu noted at the news conference, "but something I've heard that doesn't seem to be being covered are the Epstein files."

Lieu highlighted that the documents implicate Trump, featuring photos and rape allegations involving minors. This information has gained significant traction on social media, with #TrumpPedoFiles trending on X. "And by the way, he was convicted in a civil court for sexual assault and convicted in a state court for 34 felonies. Donald Trump should drop out of the race," Lieu asserted.

The documents were ordered released by Circuit Judge Luis Delgado last week, just before the Fourth of July holiday. "The testimony taken by the Grand Jury concerns activity ranging from grossly unacceptable to rape — all of the conduct at issue is sexually deviant, disgusting, and criminal," Delgado wrote.

Despite the significant public interest and social media attention, mainstream media has largely overlooked the details emerging from these documents. The Washington Post reported that Trump had numerous calls with Epstein between 2004 and 2006.
