Details of Pankaj Tripathi's hefty remuneration for the hit Indian Netfllix web series 'Mirzapur' have surfaced, showcasing his meteoric rise in the entertainment industry.

According to Indian media, Tripathi was paid around $1.2 million for 'Mirzapur 2', marking marks a significant leap from his early days when he earned less than $100  for a TV serial role.

Tripathi first gained widespread recognition with his standout performance in 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.

Since then, his career has been on an upward trajectory, with 'Mirzapur' playing an important role in his success.

His portrayal of Kaleen Bhaiya not only earned him critical acclaim but also solidified his position as a top-tier actor in the industry.

Fans can look forward to seeing him reprise this iconic role in 'Mirzapur 3'.

In a recent interview, Tripathi emphasised that acting should not solely be persued for money and fame. "One should never get into this profession only for money and fame. First understand why you want to come here ( in film industry).. understand your love, your needs. Kaam dil se karoge paisa zarur miljaega life me (Money will eventually come to you at one point)," he added, recalling his first paycheck.
