In a recent interview with WREG on Friday, July 5, wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett opened up about the strong bond between his family and Taylor Swift during his late wife's battle with cancer.

The WWE Hall of Famer, 56, shared that Swift, 34, played a crucial role in supporting his family by spending time with his daughters, Joslyn, Jaclyn, and Jerlyn, while his wife, Jill Gregory, fought breast cancer.

Jarrett noted that Swift was a "friend of the family" and provided much-needed help during a difficult time. Before Jill’s passing in May 2007, Swift, then 17, was "very good to our family during a very, very dark period."

"Taylor was like a big sister," Jarrett said. "She came over, took the girls baking cookies, and just hung out at the house. I can't say enough good things about Taylor." He jokingly added that the 14-time Grammy winner has “done pretty well for herself.”

Jarrett fondly recalled Swift’s relationship with his family, mentioning how she often spent time with his daughters. He clarified that Swift was "never on the Jeff Jarrett payroll," emphasizing, "So, technically not a babysitter."

The connection between Swift and Jarrett’s daughters continued into the early stages of Swift’s career. In 2010, Jaclyn appeared in the music video for Swift's song "Mine," from her third studio album, Speak Now.

Jarrett recounted to Instinct Culture in 2021 how Swift wanted his daughter in the video, stating, "Taylor, being as bold as she always is, just said, 'I want Jaclyn in the video.'"

The family traveled to Maine for the video shoot, where they experienced a tight-knit and professional environment. "You had to turn over your cell phone on set and all that stuff. It was a good experience for the kids," Jarrett said.

Jarrett also praised Swift's business acumen, noting her rare combination of artistic creativity and business savvy. "Not only is she uber-creative as an artist, but she also thinks like a businesswoman. Those two skill sets combined, you rarely see. She deserves all the success she has," he remarked.

In the same interview with Instinct Culture, Jarrett revealed that Swift once brought her then-boyfriend, Joe Jonas, over to the Jarrett household, underscoring the close-knit relationship between the singer and his family.
