On July 8, Billboard announced on their official social media that BTS' Jimin's pre-release track "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO)" from his second solo album 'MUSE' has debuted on the 'Hot 100' chart at number 88 for the week of July 13th.
This is Jimin's fifth time charting solo on the 'Hot 100'.
Earlier, Jimin first appeared on the chart as a solo artist with Taeyang's "VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)," which reached its peak at number 76 in 2023. His solo debut album 'FACE' also saw success on the 'Hot 100': "Set Me Free Pt.2" peaked at number 30, while the title track "Like Crazy" reached number 1.
Jimin made history as the first solo K-pop artist to reach number one on the 'Hot 100' with "Like Crazy," achieving this milestone both with BTS and as a solo artist.
Jimin also appeared on the 'Hot 100' with "Angel Pt. 1 (Feat. Jimin of BTS, JVKE & Muni Long)" from the film 'Fast & Furious: Ride or Die,' peaking at number 65.
Billboard's official social media announced that "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)" debuted on the 'Hot 100,' topped the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart, and reached number 7 on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)' chart, highlighting Jimin's ongoing popularity.
"Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)" combines the concept of a marching band with a fusion of big band orchestral tones and hip-hop elements. The song showcases Jimin's clear vocals and Loco's rap, blending them seamlessly.
Jimin's upcoming second solo album 'MUSE' will be globally released on the 19th at 1 PM. Centered on the theme of 'love,' the album features seven interconnected tracks that explore a journey in search of inspiration.
