DERA ISMAIL KHAN:

In a resounding call for stability, a jirga convened in Lakki Marwat reverberated with demands for peace on Monday.

The jirga saw the participation of hundreds of individuals, including political leaders, welfare society representatives, and members of various movements.

Under the leadership of Marwat Qaumi Jirga’s (MQJ) supreme commander-in-chief Akhtar Munir Khan Marwat, the event aimed to promote peace in the region.

Participants, carrying white flags and chanting "Peace, Peace," showed their solidarity for the cause.

During his address, Marwat declared that no enemies of peace would be given refuge in Lakki Marwat. He stressed the community's commitment to ensuring that no disruptive elements would destroy the peace in any village or town of the district.
