Man axes niece to death
The police arrested a man on the charge of murdering his niece in the name of honour.
The 22-year-old victim, a resident of Zia Nagar, had married Muhammad Atiq four years ago, but the marriage had ended divorce due to domestic disputes.
Subsequently, she had married Dr Muhammad Zeshan a year and a half ago, but that marriage had also ended in divorce.
The victim had come to her paternal aunt’s home six days ago.
Her uncle Irfanullah axed her to death at night.
According to the police, the suspect had stated that he suspected that the victim was about to leave the home with someone.
The victim’s father works as a milkman in Manga Mandi.
The police registered a case on his complaint and arrested the suspect.
