13 arrested in search operation

In order to maintain the law and order during Muharram, the police conducted a search operation in Sarai Mughal and its surroundings.

During the search operation conducted in more than 70 houses, 13 suspected criminals were arrested, while 3kg of hashish and a liquor were seized.

In addition, a pistol and a stolen motorcycle were also seized.

The DSP of Pattoki, Tahir Siddique, told the media that a search operation would be conducted again to apprehend criminals.

He said two men wanted in multiple cases had also been arrested.

In response to a significant rise in militant attacks over the past two years, Punjab Police has announced plans to enhance security arrangements, infrastructure, and logistics across eight border districts, including Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur.

Earlier this year, several attempts and attacks were reported on police border posts, particularly in Mianwali and Bhakkar.
