RAWALPINDI:

Two government schools in the Railway Colonies of Rawalpindi, operated by Pakistan Railways, have been upgraded to enhance the quality of education for young students.

The Government Girls High School No 3 CDL Workshop and the Government Loco Shed School for Boys have been equipped with new, education-friendly classrooms.

According to officials, these improvements aim to provide a superior learning environment for the students.

Islamic Relief Pakistan supported these upgrades, which will benefit around 4,000 children. The solarisation of both schools has been completed, ensuring a reliable power supply and an uninterrupted learning experience. After the summer holidays, students will return to these upgraded facilities.

Social activists along with the principals of both schools and the Islamic Relief team, recently visited the upgraded facilities. They observed the new, carpeted floors and the newly furnished classrooms, which feature modern, aesthetically pleasing chairs and tables.

The classrooms are designed with round tables in various colors, encouraging a collaborative learning environment.

Comfortable chairs have also been provided for the students. The blackboards are decorated with craftsmanship, adding to the visual appeal of the classrooms.

The upgraded classrooms will be monitored and maintained daily to ensure their condition remains optimal. Each classroom is equipped with three to four fans, depending on the size, to maintain a comfortable temperature for the students.

Special lunches will be provided to the children during recreational activities, adding to the overall student-friendly atmosphere. The washrooms have also been upgraded, featuring ample water supply, soap, and towels, along with an improved sewage system.
