Margot Robbie, 34, the acclaimed actress known for her role in "Barbie," is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, also 34, according to multiple sources who confirmed the news to PEOPLE. The couple, who have been married since 2016, have not yet publicly commented on the pregnancy.

Robbie and Ackerley first met on the set of the World War II drama "Suite Française" and later founded the production company LuckyChap together. The company has produced several successful projects, including "I, Tonya," "Birds of Prey," and the recent blockbuster hit "Barbie," in which Robbie starred.

While the couple has not officially announced their pregnancy, their close collaboration in both their personal and professional lives has been evident. In an interview last month, Ackerley described their relationship as "seamless," emphasizing that they spend "24 hours a day together" and that their personal and professional lives have become intertwined.

Frank Sterle Jr. | 5 months ago | Reply A physically and mentally sound future should be every child s fundamental right along with air water food and shelter especially considering the very troubled world into which they never asked to enter. Particularly one in which the parents too often stop loving each other frequently fight and eventually divorce. Regardless of celebrity status being caring and competent loving and knowledgeable parents about factual child-development science should matter most when deciding to procreate. Too many women and men even some film stars will have children regardless of not being sufficiently educated about child-development science to ensure parenting in a psychologically functional healthy manner. It s not that they necessarily are bad parents . Rather many seem to perceive thus treat human procreative rights as though they potential parents will somehow in blind anticipation be innately inclined to sufficiently understand and appropriately nurture their children s naturally developing minds and needs. In Childhood Disrupted the author writes that even well-meaning and loving parents can unintentionally do harm to a child if they are not well informed about human development pg.24 .
