Country star Morgan Wallen faced an unexpected incident during his performance at Denver's Mile High Stadium on June 27. While singing his track "Cowgirls," Wallen was hit on the shoulder by a fan-thrown phone, which subsequently fell on the stage. Without missing a beat, Wallen picked up the phone and threw it back into the crowd before continuing his performance.
The incident, captured in fan-shot footage, highlights a growing trend of dangerous fan behavior at concerts. Since last summer, many musicians have dealt with objects being thrown at them during performances. Notably, Bebe Rexha was seriously injured in New York City when a fan threw a cell phone at her face, resulting in the fan's arrest. Similarly, Harry Styles was hit multiple times by objects while touring in Europe, and Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the eye by a bracelet during a show in Idaho. Ava Max also experienced a disturbing situation when she was slapped by a concertgoer while performing in Los Angeles.
This is not the first time Wallen has encountered objects thrown by fans. On June 21, during a show in Minneapolis, he was hit in the face by a thong tossed onstage. In that instance, Wallen caught the garment, smiled, and threw it back into the crowd, handling the situation with humor.
Wallen's One Night at a Time World Tour, which began in Indianapolis in April, continues to draw large crowds across North America. The tour is set to conclude on August 9 in Las Vegas.
Representatives for Wallen have not yet commented on the recent incident in Denver.
