‘Tees Maar Khan team’: Pakistani cricketers trolled for catching practice during fitness camp

Training drawing mockery aims to prepare team for upcoming Test series against Bangladesh

News Desk July 04, 2024

Pakistani cricketers Saud Shakeel and Abdullah Shafique have faced trolling for their close-catching practice session during a fitness camp in Karachi.

Organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the training camp aims to prepare the team for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Despite the rigorous training, the session has drawn harsh criticism and mockery from fans on social media. Some of the comments include:

The camp, which started on June 25 and runs until July 7, features 25 players honing their red-ball cricket skills at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre. This initiative is part of Pakistan's preparation for a busy schedule in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

Following a disappointing T20 World Cup 2024, the Men in Green are set to play nine Test matches in the 2024-25 WTC season. These include home series against Bangladesh in August and England in October, as well as away matches in South Africa in December/January.
