Security forces eliminate high-profile terrorist in Bajaur
The security forces successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Wednesday, targeting a high-profile terrorist, the military’s media wing said in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was initiated on the reported presence of the terrorist and resulted in an intense exchange of fire.
Terrorist Commander Irfan Ullah, also known as Adnan, was neutralised during the confrontation.
Adnan was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces, as well as extortion and target killings of innocent civilians. He was highly wanted by law enforcement agencies.
"Locals appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to security forces in eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country," the ISPR said.
