Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has come under fire from Hindu extremists after expressing gratitude to Allah following India's T20 World Cup victory.

Siraj, who shared a celebratory post on social media platform X, thanked Allah for the team's success, sparking criticism from certain quarters.

"Thankyou Almighty Allah," Siraj tweeted.

This prompted a backlash from extremist users who claimed the victory belonged to the team and captain Rohit Sharma only.

One user commented, "This is Team India's win, not Allah's!" while another remarked, "If Allah was responsible, Pakistan would have won, not India!"
