Raids: 12 held for overcharging

PESHAWAR: In different raids conducted on the directives of DCO Sirja Ahmad, 12 people were arrested for overcharging in Peshawar. These include eight butchers and four vegetable sellers. The butchers were arrested from Karimpura, Doma Gali and Ghanta Ghar for selling meat on a meatless day, and were sent to prison for one month. Separately, four vegetable sellers were arrested and sent to prison for one month for selling vegetables at exorbitant prices. The arrested butchers and vegetable sellers included Tahir Khan, Saidullah, Arif, Kifayat, Rahat Ali, Saeed Khan and Ali Gohar. The vegetable sellers were Javed Hussein, Wazir Mohammad, Mukhtiar and Imran. The administration has registered cases against the accused.
