Justin Timberlake appears to be poking fun at his recent arrest.
The 43-year-old "Cry Me a River" singer seemed to joke about his DWI arrest during his performance at the TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, as shown in videos shared on social media.
"Is there anyone here tonight that is driving − no, I'm just kidding," Timberlake said to the audience, stopping himself before completing the sentence.
As the crowd cheered and laughed at Timberlake's apparent joke about his DWI, he redirected, asking, "Is there anyone here tonight that it's your first time here to the show?"
Timberlake seemed to be referencing his recent arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons earlier this month. According to the Sag Harbor Village Police Department, the singer was stopped after he failed to halt at a stop sign and "maintain his lane of travel." Upon investigation, "it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition."
The arrest occurred during Timberlake's Forget Tomorrow tour.
Timberlake had previously alluded to the arrest on stage, saying "it's been a tough week" during a performance in Chicago last month.
He is set to continue his U.S. tour with upcoming shows in Baltimore, Maryland, Cleveland, Ohio, and Lexington, Kentucky.
Timberlake is also scheduled to perform in Birmingham, Manchester, and London in the UK in August.
