Gas blast at guest house blast in Peshawar injures 11 people

Two critically burnt patients, each with 80% burns, transferred to to the Burn and Trauma Hospital in Hayatabad.

PESHAWAR:

At least 11 people were injured when a gas explosion caused part of a guest house roof to collapse in Peshawar's University Town area.

Rescue 1122 officials quickly responded, transporting the injured, including children, to Khyber Teaching Hospital.

Police, along with bomb disposal unit experts, arrived at the scene.

According to an official, gas leakage appears to be the cause of the roof collapse.

At Khyber Teaching Hospital, spokesperson Sajjad Khan confirmed two patients were in critical condition. Among the injured are women and children, some with severe burns. Two critically burnt patients have been transferred to the Burn and Trauma Hospital in Hayatabad, each with 80% burns.

Authorities are actively managing the situation to ensure the safety and well-being of affected individuals.

Earlier this month, at least seven people, including two children, were injured in a gas leakage blast in the Waris Khan area in Rawalpindi.
