Four people were killed and nine others injured as a minivan slammed into a nail salon on Long Island, U.S. state of New York, on Friday afternoon, local authorities said.
Four people were found dead inside the nail salon upon firefighters' arrival, said Dominic Albanese, chief of Deer Park Fire Department in Suffolk County.
Nine people, including the driver of the minivan, have been transported to hospitals, said Albanese.
Authorities are investigating whether the incident was intentional, according to Albanese.
Named Hawaii Nail & Spa, the nail salon is one of several stores in a shopping area in Deer Park.
