A man allegedly sexually assaulted his daughter on Friday.

Police said the complainant, Zahida Bibi, has three sons and six daughters with accused Younis Kumhar.

On the day of the incident, the accused was alone at home with his 14-year-old daughter when he sexually assaulted her.

Bibi reported that the suspect had done similar crimes earlier as well but had threatened her with serious consequences if she reported them.

Meanwhile, a man sexually assaulted his sister-in-law of at gunpoint.

The victim, a resident of New Judicial Complex, was married to Irshad Ahmad Gadi and was living in the same house with his family.

Her brother-in-law, Sajjad Hussain Gadi, sexually assaulted her at gunpoint multiple times and threatened her of serious consequences if she told her husband.

However, when the woman's brother, Muhammad Shafiq, came to visit her she confided in him.

When confronted, the accused threw an ax at the brother and ran away from the house.

Circle police registered a case and is investigating the incident further. SHO Police Station President, Zawar Hussain said that “once the accused Younis Kumhar is arrested, severe punishment will be given by bringing forward the medical report and more facts”.

In a similar incident earlier this month, a man, Umar Hayat, tortured and killed his daughter and threw her body in a tube well.

According to the police, the accused and his sons accused the girl of having flawed character and murdered her for honour.

The accused suspected that the slain, Misbah Bibi, had developed illicit relations with a man. The police took the accused and his sons into custody and handed over the body to the heirs after post-mortem.

In another incident, eight armed men allegedly abducted a woman from her residence.

According to the police, accused Muhammad Dilawar, Muhammad Owais, Muhammad Bilal, Zafar Iqbal along with three unidentified armed men entered the residence of complainant Muhammad Asif and kidnapped his wife.

They escaped with three tolas of jewelry and thirty thousand in cash.

A case has been registered by the Thana City Police and further investigation is underway.
